[origin: WO0044247A1] The object of the invention is a peeling device (1) for peeling food products (2), such as root crops or the like. The peeling device (1) includes a means (3) comprising a wall, inside the internal space (4) formed by which wall the food products (2) can be placed. The means (3) is a baggy container which can be closed, inside which container the food products (2) can be placed, together with liquid (5), if necessary. The inner surface (3a) of the container (3) is provided with protrusions (6). The object of the invention also includes a method for peeling food products (2) with the peeling device (1).
