[origin: WO9943501A1] The invention relates to an offset printing method and to an offset printing machine (2). According to the invention, a printable material is printed with one or more printing inks which dry by absorption and crosslinking as a result of oxidation. It has been established that a surface drying of the printing ink and the printable material is accelerated when the printable material is treated with air along the wet printed broadside surface, said surface having been previously dried by extracting water, immediately after leaving a last cylinder (16) of the offset printing machine.
