[origin: WO9950073A1] An ink metering device for an ink jet printhead comprises a number of joined-together plates (21, 22) and an actuator. At least one ink supply, an internal filter element (23), one or more nozzles (25), an ink channel (26-27) from the ink supply to the said nozzle or nozzles (25) are provided in the plates. According to the invention, the inlet side of the filter element (23) and the outlet side of the nozzles (25) are provided, at a distance from one another, in the same plate (21).
