Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0946024A1] The method involves correcting received symbols in a decision feedback equalizer contg. a feed-forward filter (1), a decision element (3) and a feedback filter (5), and then decoding (7) the symbols. After being passed through the decision feedback equalizer the first time, the data produced by the decoder are fed back to the feedback filter without passing through the decision circuit in a re-processing phase. An Independent claim is also included for a circuit for implementing the method.
