Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1067074A2] A first brake appliance (7) guides the flat products (3) which are individually grasped by grippers (8) from a product stream, and transfer them onto a first delivery-web (9), A cylinder (4) with grippers (5) grips the back (12) and forward (11) edge of the flat products remaining in the product stream. A second brake appliance (15) guides the flat products with grippers (16) and transfers the remaining flat products onto a second delivery-web (10). A first high-speed belt (1) runs round the gripper-cylinder; a second high speed belt runs round a deflector roller (6); a third high speed belt (13) runs round further deflector rollers (14). The two braking appliances each have rotary arms (17,18) to which the grippers are fixed.
