Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1067348A1] Each drying airflow supplied to a silo (20, 30) has its own heater (23a, 33a). Drying airflow is controlled both as a function of temperature and the respective heater power. On reaching a given heating power, the respective drying air flow is throttled back. This assures heating to a preselected desired temperature, independently of the drying air quantity distributed into the individual air flows. An Independent claim is included for the plant carrying out the process. A drying-air dryer (10), heater (23a, 33a), blower (6) and drying circuit (9) are employed. Flow- (11) and return- (12) lines have interconnecting branches (21, 28;31, 38) for each supply line (21, 31). Preferred features: Throttling of a drying air stream in accordance with heating power, is triggered when the relevant heater does not switch off within a given interval. In each branched line, the individual heater is located after the valve.
