[origin: EP1067565A2] An arrester comprises at least one of non-linear resistors (1) mainly consisting of a zinc oxide, terminal electrodes (2) disposed to both end portions of the non-linear resistor (1) to be electrically conductive so as to construct an internal element (3), an insulative woven fabric (4) impregnated with an insulation resin which is hardened by being heated, the insulative woven fabric (4) being applied so as to surround the internal element (3), and a polymer resin integrally molded to the internal element (3) surrounded by the insulative woven fabric (4). The arrester is manufactured by conductively joining the terminal electrodes (2) to both end portions of the non-linear resistor (1), covering a surrounding of the internal element (3) with an insulative woven fabric (4), arranging the integrated internal element (3) in a mold, injecting a polymer resin mixed with a main liquid, a hardening agent and a coloring agent into the mold, and hardening the polymer resin in the mold so as to form an insulator. <IMAGE>
