Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9944748A1] The invention relates to a rotary spray (10) for the application of electroconductive lacquer, especially water lacquer, on surfaces. The inventive device comprises a housing (12) with a drive motor (40) arranged therein. Said motor drives and rotates a front mounted spray head (11) which is connected to a lacquer feed that discharges the lacquer in a spray as a result of rotation. At least two electrode holders (24) are also provided. Said holders are disposed on a concentric circle and extend parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing towards the front part. An electrode (13) with a protruding front face is accommodated in each electrode holder and fed by a high voltage source (17). Each electrode (13) generates an electric field which impinges the spray discharged from the spray head (11) onto the surface of application. A plug-in high voltage source (17) is provided in each electrode holder (24) in the form of a cascade (15). Said voltage source provides the corresponding electrode (13) with power and is connected to a low voltage power source for supply purposes.
