[origin: EP1069064A2] The cable guide device (10) feeds the cable from the take-off point (13) of a driven cable supply reel (2) within an autoclave (1) to the cable entry (12) of a cable processing device (9) via a guide element (14) having upwards and downwards inclined cable sections (15,16) on opposite sides. One or both of the inclined cable sections has an associated sensor system (17,18) for detecting the length of the cable and/or the force exerted on the cable, coupled to a control and regulation device (25).
