Method for controlling pests in books comprises placing the books in a room, closing the room, lowering the temperature in the room to less than 0 degrees C, and maintaining the low temperature and/or injecting carbon dioxide (CO2) into the room for several minutes.

Bei einem Verfahren zur Bekämpfung von Schädlingen, wie Bakterien, Pilzen, Würmern, Käfern oder dergleichen in Büchern ist vorgesehen, daß die Bücher in einem geschlossenen Raum untergebracht werden und das Innere des Raumes auf unter 0°C abgekühlt wird.
