Abstract (en)
The turbocompressor has an electric motor (2) and a multi-stage radial turbocompressor (3), mounted on a common shaft (13) within a gas-tight housing (6). The shaft is supported by spaced electromagnetic radial bearings (5), with a gas seal (19) enclosing the shaft between the electric motor and the radial turbocompressor, the electric motor having an internal space (9a) coupled to an exit opening (6h) passing through the housing. An Independent claim for an installation incorporating a turbocompressor is also included.

Der Turboverdichter (1) umfasst ein nach aussen gasdichtes Gehäuse (6) innerhalb welchem auf einer gemeinsamen Welle (13) ein Elektromotor (2) sowie ein mehrstufiger Radialturboverdichter (3) angeordnet sind, wobei zum Lagern der Welle (13) in deren Verlaufsrichtung elektromagnetische Radiallager (5) beabstandet angeordnet sind, und wobei zwischen dem Elektromotor (2) und dem Radialturboverdichter (3) eine die Welle (13) umschliessende Gasdichtung (19) angeordnet ist, um den Elektromotor (2) bezüglich dem Radialturboverdichter (3) abzudichten, wobei der Elektromotors (2) einen Innenraum (9b, 9c) aufweist, welcher fluidleitend mit einer das Gehäuse durchdringenden Austrittsöffnung (6h; 21) verbunden ist. <IMAGE>
