[origin: GB2336101A] A plastics bottle collection street bin, comprises a housing of generally triangular shape comprising a first, second and third sidewall portions 4, 5, 6. The third sidewall portion 6 defines an access door with upper and lower inlet openings 20, 21 through which a user inserts plastics bottles for recycling. Upper and lower containers 22, 23 having respective inlet openings 24, 25 are removable located with the housing for receiving the bottles. The sidewall 4 includes a left to right scrolling sign (50) and the sidewall 5 has display sign (60), both illuminated, Figures 12 and 13. The housing may have an equilateral triangle shape, Figure 16. The bin may be provided with user interface means such as a telephone and seating means. Several bins may be juxtaposed to form a segmented unit, Figures 23 and 24.
