[origin: EP1070477A2] The toilet lid and seat pivots on a horizontal bar (5). This has threaded ends which fit into holders (4) and passes through a hole in a central holder (8). Springs (7) are fitted between the holders to retain fastening washers (9) and braking sleeves (10) in the end holders.
