Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1070676A1] A package (4) is wound by a reciprocating traverse guide (8) as it places the yarn (F) at some point on the package. Using the parameters package speed, traverse speed, yarn guide acceleration, and distance between yarn guide (8) and package (4), the required traverse reduction for correct positioning of the yarn on the package is calculated by computer simulation. An Independent claim is also included for a winder with electronic control (9) containing an algorithm for controlling the traverse length reduction for the required bobbin build.
