Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1070914A1] The burner has a heat shield (41) fixed to a carrier structure (42) so that differential thermal expansions can take place with as little hindrance as possible. The carrier structure should have apertures (11) for cooling air (1B) to provide cooling of the heat shield. The burner gas input may be in the form of tubes (32) passing through apertures (31) in the vortex creator.
