[origin: WO9954090A1] Owing to its basic features, the All-purpose Vice, unlike the existing ones, can engage and efficiently tighten the workpiece regardless of how non-parallel it is. At the same time, such tightening is done in a way which prevents the slide from rising and thereby keeps the workpiece to the vice guide. The solution relies on the holder and its truncated reverse cone-shaped nut which horizontally maintains the slide's self-adjustability in the direction of tightening and with a final pressure forces the slide onto the vice guides. Hydraulic joint tightening, when used, adds up extra speed to the described advantages with a single turn of the handle by 90 degrees.
