[origin: EP1072437A2] The book clamping device is part of a bookbinding machine. It has a first clamping element (10) and a second clamping element (12) fitted to the first one. A first flexible spring plate (18) is connected to the second clamping element. At least one of the clamping elements includes a pressing plate (16). The first flexible spring plate is fixed to the pressing element of the second clamping element.
