Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1073022A2] When an automatic transaction apparatus detects an abnormality (S1), an image obtained (S2) at the time the abnormality occurred is displayed (S4) on a screen 2 of the automatic transaction apparatus. Thus, since a security guard who arrives immediately after the abnormality occurred can view the displayed image and obtain information, such as the appearance of the face and the clothing worn by a criminal, which can assist in the identification of a perpetrator, the probability that the criminal will be found can be increased. As a result, since a crime prevention function of the automatic transaction apparatus has been enhanced, an increase in the occurrence of such crimes can be prevented. <IMAGE>
