[origin: WO9954561A1] The invention relates to a flushing box in which a retaining device (8) is fastened in an upper part of the box body (2). Elements (20, 21) which can be externally operated and which are provided for actuating a drainage fitting (30) are placed on said retaining device. The retaining device (8) comprises a mounting plate (9) which is fastened inside on the rear wall (3) of the flushing box (2). A bridge (17) which extends in a horizontal manner is mounted with the end (23) thereof on the mounting plate (9). The mounting plate (9) and the bridge (17) construct the retaining device (8) which enables an easy installation and inspection also in the case of restricted spatial relationships in a concealed flushing box.
