[origin: EP0952272A1] A seam clamp (10) comprises a body having a substantially flat mounting surface (20) for mounting a fitting thereon, an undersurface (30) opposite said mounting surface (20), said undersurface (30) having a longitudinal slot (31) formed along its entire length and extending upwardly therefrom to define a clamp housing (35), and clamping means (36, 37) in said clamp housing (35) defining a channel substantially conforming to the profile of a standing seam of a standing seam structure to which said seam clamp (10) is to be fastened, and is characterised in that said clamping means (36, 37) is longitudinally split into two parts (11, 12, 80, 90) adapted to be clamped together in releasable fashion. <IMAGE>
