Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19817494A1] The network coupling unit includes at lest a data network interface (LANS) for connection to a data network connection unit (LAN-AE) comprising a local data network (LAN). A signalling unit (SE) is connected to a control unit (STE) to a communication system (PBX). A bidirectional time multiplex oriented PCM interface (PCMS) is provided for connecting to a PCM connection unit (PCM-AE) comprising a coupling field module (KN) of the communication system. The PCM connection unit includes a component coupling field module (BG-KN) which couples data connections which are provided via the PCM interface. A DTMF identification unit identifies and analyses control information which are received via the load data connections in forma of DTMF signal. A conversion unit (MH) is coupled to the data network connection unit, the signalling unit and the PCM connection unit and includes an evaluation unit (BW-R) for routing information. An switching unit (VM-R ) is included in the conversion unit and transmits data packets in dependence of the evaluation result. A conversion unit (KV-R) converts the data packet.
