[origin: EP0864500A1] The outer enclosed wrapping (11) is opened or removed by an opener (31) with a tear-element, especially a tear-off strip encircling, especially sticking to, the outside of the wrapping. The tear-strip separates an opening strip from the wrapping as a result of the relative movement between the tear-strip and the reel (10). The reel passes through an opening unit (30) past an opener (31), preferably by a to and fro moving carriage (16). The opening unit is integrated in a magazine (12).
