Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1074497A1] Process involves creating a material reserve long enough to feed the production line while the rolls are connected. The new roll (R2) end is placed on a support surface (7) and covered with a junction element. The first roll (R1) has its end cut and placed on a support surface (9). The first support surface pivots and stands vertically then is pressed against the second support surface. The two end are then fastened and the new roll starts feeding the production line as soon as the material reserve is used up. An Independent claim is also included for the process installation.
