The system has a coolant for acquiring thermal energy from the engine (3) and for outputting the thermal energy that flows through a heat exchanger (6) in a heat exchange circuit (5) also containing a heat exchanger pump (7). An engine circuit (2) contains the engine and an engine pump (4) driving the coolant. A coupling arrangement (12) connects the outflow of the engine and engine pump to the inflow of the engine and engine pump and/or to the inflow of the heat exchanger and heat exchanger pump and connects the outflow of the heat exchanger and heat exchanger pump to the inflow of the heat exchanger and heat exchanger pump and/or to the inflow of the engine and engine pump.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kühlanlage für einen Verbrennungsmotor, bei der ein Kühlmedium zur Aufnahme von Wärmeenergie den Verbrennungsmotor und zur Abgabe von Wärmeenergie einen Wärmetauscher durchströmt. Zur Erzielung eines kompakten Aufbaus umfaßt die Kühlanlage einen Wärmetauscherkreis, in dem der Wärmetauscher und eine das Kühlmittel antreibende Wärmetauscherpumpe angeordnet sind, einen Motorkreis in dem der Verbrennungsmotor und eine das Kühlmittel antreibende Motorpumpe angeordnet sind, sowie Kopplungsmittel, welche die Abströmseite von Verbrennungsmotor und Motorpumpe mit der Zuströmseite von Verbrennungsmotor und Motorpumpe und/oder mit der Zuströmseite von Wärmetauscher und Wärmetauscherpumpe verbinden und welche die Abströmseite von Wärmetauscher und Wärmetauscherpumpe mit der Zuströmseite von Wärmetauscher und Wärmetauscherpumpe und/oder mit der Zuströmseite von Verbrennungsmotor und Motorpumpe verbinden. <IMAGE>
