Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19819176A1] The invention relates to a device for packing fluorescent ring lamps (1, 2, 3) using a blank (4, 5, 6) that is made of a sheet-type material, preferably corrugated cardboard, which is assembled by folding it along break lines and by means of inserts and adhesive joints to form a flat sleeve (7, 8, 9) that covers at least partially and protects each tube (1, 2, 3) with two flat sides (10, 11; 12, 13; 14, 15) that enclose said tube between them. A plurality of different sized sleeves (7, 8, 9) are provided to accommodate different sized lamps (1, 2, 3). The dimensions of the two sides (10, 11) of the largest sleeve (7) are adapted to the dimensions of the recesses (16, 17) which themselves are adapted to the smaller sleeves (8, 9) to enable accommodation by means of positive fit or force connection, whereby at least one of the smaller sleeves (8, 9) can be inserted into the volume occupied by the largest sleeve (7) in such a way that when assembled, an overall packaging with a volume that is no greater than that of the largest sleeve (7) is formed by several individual packaging items whereby each individual packaging item can be removed without causing any damage to the other remaining packaging items.
