Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9957043A1] The invention relates to a cleaning conveyor (1) for a belt conveyor (2). The belt conveyor (2) comprises an endless conveyor belt (8) which revolves between driving drums and tail pulleys (4, 6) and in its lower area forms a first feeding section (10). The cleaning conveyor (1) further comprises an endless cleaning conveyor belt (7) which also revolves between driving drums and tail pulleys (3, 5, 31, 33) and whose conveying strand (9) forms a second feeding section (11) below the working area (12) of the belt conveyor (2). The aim of the invention is to create a low-maintenance cleaning conveyor which is economical to run. To this end the conveying strand (9) of the cleaning conveyor belt (7) forms a feeding slot (13) in the second feeding section (11) with the return strand (14) of the conveyor belt (8). A plurality of idle pulleys (151, 152, 153 to 15n) changes the direction of movement of the transport strand (9) around the driving drum (4) at the beginning of the first feeding section (10) of the belt conveyor (2) such that return material falling off the belt conveyor (2) is collected on the transporting strand (9) of the cleaning conveyor (1), transported into the feeding slot (13), received between the carrying side (17) of the conveying strand (9) of the cleaning conveyor belt (7) and the carrying side (16) of the return strand (14) of the belt conveyor belt (8), and then placed onto the conveyor belt (8) of the belt conveyor (2) in the first feeding section (10).
