[origin: WO9957052A1] The invention relates to a device for manipulating a bobbin, especially a flanged bobbin (1), on a winder (5). Said device comprises a doffing cart (10) with lifting devices (20) for raising and lowering a bobbin between a bobbin height at which the bobbin can be slid onto and withdrawn from a spindle (6) of the winder (5) and a transporting height at which the bobbin can be rolled on a floor (9) or on a conveyor belt running in front of the winder. The invention provides for guiding elements (30) for the frictionless guiding of the doffing cart with or without a raised bobbin in a direction of transport parallel to the spindle (6) between a winding position for winding onto the bobbin and a transport position for delivering and removing the bobbin.
