New monoazo compounds are reactive carboxy(di)cycloalkylcarbonylamino-7-phenylazo- or 7-naphthylazo-mono- or di-sulfo-8-naphthols of formula (I): M = hydrogen (H), an alkali metal or another colorless salt-forming metal; X = (a group containing) a fiber-reactive group; W = 1-4C alkylene, phenylene (optionally mono- or disubstituted by sulfo, carboxy, 1-4 C alkyl, 1-4 C alkoxy and chlorine (Cl)) or 3-6C alkylene with an oxygen (-O-) or imino (-NH-) group in the chain; R<0> = H, 1-4 C alkyl or phenyl (optionally substituted by sulfo, (m)ethyl, (m)ethoxy or Cl); alk = 1-4 C alkylene; m, r, s, t = 0 or 1; D = phenylene (optionally mono- or disubstituted by sulfo, carboxy, 1-4 C alkyl, 1-4 C alkoxy or Cl) or naphthylene (optionally mono- or disubstituted by sulfo); R = H or 1-4C alkyl; G = 5-8C (di)cycloalkylene, which may have an olefinic double bond and/or a hetero group in the ring and may be mono- or disubstituted by halogen or 1-4C alkyl; if X = a heterocyclic group, s = 0 and r = 1.
