Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9957493A1] The invention relates to a thermohydraulic sun-tracking device for an element for capturing solar energy (1). Said element can pivot about at least one axis of rotation (5). The sun-tracking device has two absorber units (7a, 7b) which face each other in relation to the axis of rotation, which are fluidly connected to each other and which contain a common working fluid; and a light control unit which reflects and/or shuts out light. Said light control unit pivots with the element for capturing solar energy in order to produce a righting moment in the event of a positioning error by irradiating the absorber units asymmetrically. According to the invention, the light control unit has a precision adjustment reflector element (8a, 8b) and/or a return reflector element (10a, 10b) for at least one absorber unit (7a, 7b). These are arranged in such a way that a very high level of tracking accuracy can be obtained with the precision adjustment reflector element (8a, 8b) and the return reflector element (10a, 10b) enables a movement back eastwards or a movement westwards over angles of error of more than 90 DEG . The invention also relates to the use of this method e.g., for low maintenance solar collector tracking without using external energy or controls.
