Abstract (en)
A coupling for sealing an outer cylindrical wall of a member of a fluid flow system extending along an axis. The coupling has a body and nut (70) encircling the cylindrical wall (84) which are configured to receive either a conventional O-ring (86) or packing (88). The body (52) includes a recess having a wall surface (82) tapering at an angle in the range of 7 to 20 relative the axis and cooperates with the nut (70) and cylindrical wall (84) of the member to define an open area for receiving either an O-ring (86) or packing (88).
