[origin: EP1076215A2] Inside chamber lighting is switched on by the opening of a door or by operation of a hand switch. The lighting device has one or more LEDs cross-wired in parallel and/or in series with each other, and are switched by an electronic switch, preferably a transistor. Luminescent conversion diodes radiating white light can be used, or diodes radiating various colors, preferably yellow and blue or red, green and blue may be used. By the superposition of the different colors of the individual LEDs, white lighting is created.
