[origin: DE19820071A1] The invention relates to a toroidal drive comprising an input shaft (3) and a torque transmission shaft (20) positioned coaxially in relation to same, as well as two input disks (5, 12) and two output disks (6, 11) assigned to the input disks in pairs. A universal bearing (18) is provided for between one of the input disks (5) and an axial flange (9), which is fixedly connected to the input shaft (3) and on which the input disk (5), which is not impinged upon by a contact-pressure device (4), is supported. The universal bearing provides the axial and radial support for the input disk (5).
