Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1077129A2] The method involves thermal transfer with a transfer foil between the printing element (2) and an image information transfer unit containing a print head. The first step involves transferring the foil coating in point form, i.e. in image data form. In a second step the image points on the printing element are heated again and removed after the printing process. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementing the method.
