[origin: EP1077251A1] The fabric softening composition comprises a surfactant as fabric softener and a fragrance precursor as well as an enzyme suitable for cleaving the fragrance precursor. Upon application of a solution of the softening composition to a fabric, the fragrance precursor is cleaved by the enzyme and a desired odor is imparted to the fabric.
