Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19823620C1] Method for individual separation and preparation of shells from a shell stack, more particularly shells for receiving food products. The shells (1) used have at least two opposite deformable shell walls (3, 4). The shells are placed within each other, whereby the shell opening (5) faces downwards, the lowest shell (1a) being piled in the stack with the deformable walls resting on the support surfaces. The deformable shell walls of the lowest shell are deformed using manipulation elements (9, 10) so that the shell is released from the support surfaces (7, 8) and is separated from the stack and the next following shell in the stack is placed with the deformable shell walls on the support surfaces. The shell separated from the stack (2) is collected by a collecting element engaging in the opening of the shell. The shell (1b) glides along the collecting element (11) and is positioned and tilted with the shell opening facing upwards.
