[origin: WO9961303A1] A tricycle incorporates two trailing arms (21, 22) each attached at the front ends to mountings on the frame, and carrying wheel assemblies at the rear end. Springing means (14, 15) is provided between each trailing arm and the tricycle frame. The mountings, which can be located to determine the rear wheel track, provide a common axis of rotation for the two trailing arms. The hydropneumatic suspension (14, 15) allows the tricycle to traverse an uneven surface, and to lean inwardly when cornering. The hydropneumatic suspension can also be locked, either to retain the tricycle level, or with the two trailing arms angled relative to the frame, thus limiting tricycle movement to a circle. This rear suspension arrangement avoids many of the problems associated with riding tricycles at speed, especially around corners with a relatively small radius.
