[origin: DE19822391A1] An H2O2-containing liquid, aqueous bleach or washing pretreatment agent is claimed which not only avoids the wastage of H2O2 and the adverse high oxidative effects of peroxides on soiled textiles when pretreating or pre-spotting prior to washing but which can also have a higher viscosity on account of using a special thickener system.- DETAILED DESCRIPTION - A liquid aqueous bleach or washing pretreatment agent, preferably of pH 2-4 and of viscosity 200-5,000 (especially 600-1,500) mPa.s, comprises (by wt.): - (i) 0.2-25 (especially 2-10)% H2O2; - (ii) up to 5 (especially 0.05-1)% complex-former for heavy metals; - (iii) up to 15 (especially 0.1-0.6)% surfactant; - (iv) up to 0.1 (especially 0.01-0.1)% radical scavenger; and - (v) 55-90% water; and - (vi) a thickener system comprising: - (a) 0.1-3% electrolyte; and - (b) 0.01-1% hydrophobically-modified polyurethane, - such that the wt. ratio (a) : (b) in (B) is at least 5 when the amount of (b) is up to 0.1%
