Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9957241A2] This invention pertains generally to the treatment of autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system characterized by demyelination. In particular, this invention pertains to novel peptides derived from human myelin basic protein (MBP). When complexed with the appropriate major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecule, these peptides can be used to treat multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating autoimmune diseases.
