The polarization transformer (PT) is also embodied in a polarization-maintaining optical wave guide (PMF) and allows for infinite polarization transformations. The emulator or compensator (EK) can consist of several individual emulators or compensators (1, 2, ... N) which each have an input (E) and an output (A).
