[origin: DE19940487C1] An embossing roller assembly, comprises raceways at both ends of the roller bodies to slide within ring holders in a conical structure to set the embossing gap between the rollers with precision The raceways (3) have a conical inner ring drilling (31). The embossing roller (1), held by the raceways (3), has ring holders (11) between the roller body (10) and the journals (12) with a conical ring seat (110), to take an inserted raceway (3) with its radially expanding ring drilling (31) as it slides in. The outer diameter of the raceway (3) varies, according to the depth of insertion on the ring seat (110). The conical ring seat (110) has an increasing diameter from the side towards the journal (12) inwards, towards the roller body (10). Pressure rings (6) hold the raceways (3) in position at their ring holders (11). Each pressure ring (6) is placed at the side of a raceway (3) pushed into the ring holder (11), together with a screw locking ring and setting screws (7) for positioning in relation to the ring holder (11). Each pressure ring (6) has a sprung support against the ring holder (11). A ring groove (13) is near each ring seat (110), linked to a channel leading axially from the journal (12) for connection to a pressure supply. Both embossing rollers (1,2) have raceways (3) at both ends of their roller bodies (10,20) rolling against each other, with the embossing gap (P) between the rollers to act on the web.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Prägen einer Materialbahn, enthaltend zwei Prägewalzen (1,2) mit Walzenballen (10,20), zwischen denen ein Prägespalt (P) für den Durchzug der Materialbahn ausgebildet ist, wobei die Prägewalzen jeweils beidseits mittels axialer Lagerzapfen (12,22) drehbar in der Vorrichtung gelagert sind und Verstellmittel vorgesehen sind, mittels derer der axiale Abstand zwischen den Prägewalzen (1,2) veränderbar ist, so daß der Prägespalt (P) zwischen den Walzenballen (10,20) derselben in seiner lichten Weite einstellbar ist, wobei mindestens eine der Prägewalzen (1,2) beidseits ihres Walzenballens (10,20) mit Laufringen (3) als Verstellmittel ausgerüstet ist, die auf der Oberfläche der anderen Prägewalze unter Belassung des Prägespaltes (P) zwischen den Walzenballen (10,20) abrollen und die Laufringe (3) in ihrem Außendurchmesser veränderbar sind. <IMAGE>
