[origin: DE19941626C1] Piston made of an aluminum alloy has an annular groove region provided with an anodizing coating (6). A solid lubricant (12) is embedded in the pores and gaps (10) of the coating open to the surface. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of surface sheathing a piston comprises applying the solid lubricant in suspension, and inserting into the gaps of the coating using capillary forces whilst the surface region of the coating is wetted with the suspension by spraying.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Kolben aus Aluminiumlegierung für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen, bei dem zumindest ein Ringnutbereich mit einer Eloxalbeschichtung versehen ist; um den Verschleiß zu reduzieren, ist der Kolben so ausgebildet, dass in die oberflächenoffene Spalte der Eloxalbeschichtung ein Festschmierstoff eingelagert ist. <IMAGE>
