Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9962704A1] Composite laminated fiber reinforced plastic pipe having improved resistance to micro-cracking and delamination is disclosed. The pipe is composed of a plurality of laminated layers forming the pipe wall structure, including an outer axial bearing layer containing reinforcing continuous fibers embedded in a thermoset resin binder and disposed at an angle of 0 DEG up to +/-30 DEG with respect to the longitudinal pipe axis and an inner layer in contact with the inner surface of the outer layer and containing reinforcing continuous fibers embedded in a thermoset resin binder and disposed at an angle of greater than +/-30 DEG with respect to the longitudinal pipe axis.
