[origin: WO9962933A2] The invention relates to rationally designed peptides and to the production and use thereof for biotechnological, medical, diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. The method for generating peptides that are suitable for bonding auto-antibodies is characterized by the following: identification of a seed peptide with the suitable activity, production of a small number of peptide variants from the physico-chemical area around the seed peptide using a computer-assisted calculation method; synthesis and testing of the activity of said peptide variants; modelling of a quantitative sequence/activity ratio by means of an artificial neuronal network; and the production of peptides by simulated evolution in the sequence area using the trained neuronal network.
