[origin: WO0028140A1] The invention relates to a device for feeding a thread or a material strip within a machine for producing and/or processing said material strip which comprises a suction hose (3) which can be subjected to underpressure in addition to a holder head (5) which is linked to said suction hose (3) and which has an accomodating cavity for said thread and/or said material strip. Said suction hose (3) and said holder head (5) can be moved in and against the direction of said material strip by means of a guiding device (11). The thread feeding device (1) is especially characterised in that the guiding device (11) is provided with a traction discharge device (19) at least in the area of the holder head (5).
