[origin: WO9958408A1] A pallet for a wheeled item (12) comprises a base frame (20) having openings (41) for receiving forklift arms, a plurality of tracks (22, 24) mounted on the base frame (20) for receiving the wheels (14) of the item (12), and a plurality of ramps (26, 28) mounted on the base frame (20) and sloping from the tracks (22, 24) toward the base frame (20) so that when the wheeled item (12) is shifted on the wheels (14) from the tracks (22, 24) along the ramps (26, 28), the undercarriage (118) of the wheeled item (12) comes to rest on the pallet. Wheeled items can be quickly loaded and secured on the pallet and can be manipulated with a forklift for storing wheeled items in stacked relation. The pallet can be designed to store wheeled items with aligned or offset casters.
