[origin: WO0060279A1] The invention relates to a luminous display device comprising a translucent element having posters displayed thereon, whereby the translucent element is fixed on at least one of its edges to a frame (2) containing means (16) for emitting luminous radiation in the thickness of the translucent element and by the edge of the latter, said frame (2) comprising supply means (10) for the means (16) for emitting luminous radiation, characterized in that the translucent element is comprised of two translucent panels (3A,3B) that include on one (13A, 13B) of the surfaces thereof (13A,13B, 23A, 23B) printed areas with a variable reflection capacity, distributed according to a determined law ensuring homogenous distribution of the light emitted by the emitting means (16) throughout the translucent element, whereby both translucent panels (3A, 3B) are placed side by side such a way that the surfaces (13A, 13B) which are provided with areas having a variable reflection capacity touch each other, whereby at least one of the two free surfaces (23A, 23B) of the panels (3A, 3B) placed side by side forms a surface enabling arrangement of the poster that is to be illuminated.
