The device has a runway (2), preferably a stretch of profile rails (1), and at least one suspended wagon (3), which is moved to and fro along the runway using a drive unit (4). The drive unit is formed as a compressed air piston motor (6) supplied with compressed air from a store that is carried with the wagon. Two or more wagons may be provided, where one wagon has the compressed air store and the other wagon carries a load to be transported.

Es handelt sich um eine Bahnvorrichtung, insbesondere Hängebahnvorrichtung, z.B. (Doppel-) und/oder (Ein-) Schienenhängebahn, welche in ihrem grundsätzlichen Aufbau eine Fahrstrecke (2), vorzugsweise Schienenstrang aus Profilschienen (1), und zumindest einen Wagen (3), insbesondere Hängewagen (3), aufweist. Der Wagen (3) ist mit Hilfe wenigstens einer Antriebsvorrichtung (4) entlang der Fahrstrecke (2) hin- und herbewegbar. Erfindungsgemäß ist die Antriebsvorrichtung (4) als von einem mitgeführten Speicher (5) mit Druckluft versorgter Druckluftmotor (6), insbesondere Druckluftkolbenmotor (6), ausgebildet. <IMAGE>
