The air turbine (13) is mounted in a turbine chamber (12) with an admission inlet (20) and an exhaust outlet (19) for the vacuum air flow. In order to achieve a compact size in relation to the power of the air turbine (13), said air turbine (13) has a diameter (D) which is bigger than the width (B) of the air turbine (13) in axial direction. Moreover, the chamber (12) of the turbine is substantially longer in axial direction (S) than the width (B) of the air turbine (13) so that the air turbine (13) can be mounted with axial displacement.
