[origin: FR2779724A1] The invention concerns pyrrole derivatives of general formula (I) wherein: R1 is CONH2, CN, carboxy, alkyloxycarbonyl, or acyl; R2 is a H atom, a halogen atom, a CN, alkyl, alkyoxy, alkenyl or trihalogenomethyl radical; R3 is a H atom or a halogen atom, or an alkyl or OH radical; Het is pyridyl, pyridyl N-oxide or thiazolyl; R4 is a H atom or a halogen atom, an alkylthio or alkyloxy radical; and R5 is a H atom, or a hydroxy or alkyloxy radical; provided that when R3, R4 and R5 are H atoms and Het is a pyridin-2-yl radical, then R1 cannot be acetyl or methyloxycarbonyl and R2 is a H atom, or R1 cannot be propionyl and R2 methyl, the C1-C4 alkyl and C2-C4 alkenyl radicals being linear or branched, as the case may be in the form of stereoisomers or their mixtures and/or their salts when they exist. Said derivatives are particularly useful for treating and preventing diseases wherein are involved herpes family viruses and/or wherein are involved cytokines including TNF alpha .
