Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1086753A1] Sifting air charged with fine material flows radially from outside in against centrifugal force through a sifting wheel (1) rotating in a sifting chamber (7). The sifting air flows out of the sifting wheel axially through a discharge opening (2) into an expansion housing (3). A cover plate (5) with this discharge opening forms a dividing wall (8) in the expansion housing.
